Behind the Camera & MY PROMO VIDEO!!!

The Eve of NYE! Maybe it's the sunshine and the crisp weather here in San Jose or the thought of a fresh start in less than 48 hrs but I'm in a very good mood!  There's a lot to cover in this concluding blogpost so I'll just get right into it!

I was browsing through our 2010 photo archives and ran into some of these photos!  It's not often that I get to see what I look like when I shoot so I figured this would be a great way to wrap up the year.  So this is 2010 in ACTION!

Meet Darren, my wonderful second shoot and bf!

This is my caught off guard look.
I've concluded that most of the time you'll see us in our crouching tiger position.  Let me just say it burrrrrrrns the next morning!
Extensions on the floor and the band setting up in the back? No prob! I'll just CROP YOU OUT!
I seem to think my clients don't know where to look so I have them follow my finger.  Not right.
Seriously, crouching tiger = sore legs!
Darren is a pro at the crouching tiger and crab walking while holding multiple cameras.  A criteria most necessary for ETTEVY Photography 2nd shooters!
Taking a second to do something very important: Twitter Update!
My hair usually ends up in a crazy messy ponytail.  classy.
Yes, I sacrificed my white v-neck on grass to get close and personal with my clients. Totally worth it.
I talk to my clients A LOT.  I think sometimes they try to run away from me.  Lucky for Doris, I totally caught up with her.
They often look at me like this too.  "Crazy photographer, you want us to do WHAT?!"
"Okay now pretend I'm holding your head with my hand, now I'm rotating it 30 degrees. Yup, now don't move!"
Showing some of the raw images.  It's a common thing I like to do just so the clients know what I have and if they want anything else.
Saying a farewells.
side note: TOMS are thee ultimate best shoot shoes!

DRUMMMMMROOOOOOOOOOOOLL!!

Here you go, beautiful people!  I am pleased to finally release my promotional video filmed at the beginning of the summer (hence the long hair) by the very talent Uly Mostrales, videographer! He's amazing! Check out his work here and here!  Also, huge thanks to the wonderful couple, Deborah and Joel! I'm sure you'll recognize them from the Sweet Valentine's Day shoot.

Check out some of the photos from that shoot!

[let's see if you can pick up the nice little surprise at the end :)]

Homemade French Toast

If there's something my dad can cook, it's French Toast.  I can't remember the last time I woke up to the sweet smell of bread and eggs frying on the pan.  This is my favorite part about going home, home-made-food!

The holiday season is quickly coming to an end and the new year is just around the corner! I am so excited to announce some pretty awesome stuff coming your way from ETTEVY Photography! Eek! Let's just say it's a "fresh start".  I'll leave it at that.

I'll be sure to post a teaser of what's ahead soon but for now check out the video my brother and I worked on during christmas day!  My brother finally agreed to sing with me!!  Enjoy!

Loafers.

My apologizes for abandoning everyone all of the sudden.  This is how it usually gets at this time of the year, I get bombarded with exams, papers and presentations.  But I am happy to say that it is all over for now (and 2 more quarters to go!! yay!).

One of my favorite things about the holidays season is EXTENDED shopping hours!  The closer it gets to Christmas, the longer stores stay open.  It's great!  Although I love shopping during the holidays, I DO NOT like shopping on Black Friday.  The crowds, the smells, the shoving...I can't stand it.  But this year after our hearty Thanksgiving meal my dad insisted that we make a family day out of it.  I thought, "Okay, I guess" Until he proceeded to tell us that we'd be leaving at 11pm that same evening! What?!  If you know me, you know that my eyes permanently shut around 12midnight.  There is no turning back at that point.  I'm not sure how I was convinced but off we went.  Much of that evening was a blur.  The blistering weather and long lines are vivid in my memory, but not much after that.  Got home around 6am and stomped straight to bed.  Woke up a few hours later with these puppies on my feet.  PENNY LOAFERS! Such a great steal, from what my mom told me!

So turns out that Black Friday did me some good! I can't get enough of these shoes! They match with everything! and so comfy!

Anyways, enough of my babbling! Is Fall Quarter really over?! Time flies so quickly.  But I absolutely love everything about this time of the year, not to mention the fresh start in a few weeks! LOVE!
I can't wait to share with you the great plans and projects I have coming up!

My Dear..

..BRUNO MARS.

I never thought I'd say this..but I LOVE this guy! I love his musical style - jazzy, smooth, sweet, old school eric clapton feel.  And no, I am not basing it solely on his hit single "Just The Way You Are".  Just a great guy with a great voice (minus the crack incident in Las Vegas).  LOL.  Enjoy the photos and video :)

Then a night out at Victoria Gardens - Yard House - Ben & Jerry's

Why do I LOVE the weekends so much?? Maybe because they are like Mini-Vacations! yah!

HAIR!

Last fall (2009), I contemplated cutting my hair.  I chucked a little, rolled my eyes and shook it off.  I decided to give myself a year to fully appreciate having long hair and see how I felt by the next fall (2010).  Last month I decide, IT'S TIME!  The long locks must go and in came a LOB = Long Bob.
Since Fall Qtr seems like a new year to me, I thought this would be a nice fresh start.  I documented my hair a couple days before the cut.  I absolutely LOVE it! Feels lighter, fresh, I don't have to worry about getting my hair caught on my purse strap or under darren's arm.  FABULOUS!
